Dozens of dogs are yours to enjoy in this juigsaw jewel from artist Lili Chin. They're among the 202 distinct breeds of Canis familiaris recognized by the American Kennel Club and range from the so-small Chihuahua (as tiney as 3.8 inches) to the massive Mstiff (one weighed in at 343 pounds). Scientists disagree on how long the dog has been domesticated. With some saying around 10,000 years and others claiming closer to 30,000. They're also at odds on the process, with one canine camp believing early human hunter-gatherers tamed them and opponenets saying wolves domesticated themselves. When we decided to add a new state to our "Discover the States" puzzle series we knew it had to be Florida. This state brings so many images to mind. From sugar white sands along the Emerald Coast to golden sunsets in Key West; it's shells, football, springbreak, scuba diving, and long quiet walks at dawn. Florida is known for family vacations on sunny beaches and, hopefully, minimal sunburns. Settle in with a good book and fresh-off-the-coast seafood. It is one of our very favorite places and we hope this new puzzle brings to mind fond memories, both old and new.
