Much like the marshland Bayous it is known for, Louisiana is a state filled with blends - blends of culture, of geography, of history, of weather.  Originally settled by Native Amercan tribes, and then colonized by the Spanish, French, and eventually becoming the 18th state, Louisiana blends the language and history of these cultures into the unique character it is known for today. The birthplace of jazz, the home of Mardi Gras, and the creator of Cajun cuisine, Louisiana blends the spicy and the sweet, the urban and the rural, the historical and the contemporary. Each image in this design by Ligia Teodosiu points to another aspect of Louisiana's blended flacors and blended fun.
